Louisa started a graphic design business with her husband in 2012 and while Notable Imprint is still going strong today, Louisa has stepped away as Creative Director to allow her to follow her other creative pursuits.
Still helping out their business by doing some of the marketing and social media work, Louisa now concentrates her time and energy on her beautiful blog Louisa G.
Currently focused on sharing her amazing story and speaking out about depression, I for one love following Louisa’s journey as it unfolds. I love her hashtag #depressionrockstars
In this episode Louisa and I talk about her thoughts on living a happy and fulfilled life while dealing with depression. I share a bit of my own story with anxiety and how an article by Mia Freedom helped me to realise it has been a part of my life since I was a young child.
We talk about the struggles Louisa has faced running a small business, from putting a value on your work, to feeling frustrated and stifled creatively.
Louisa shares the things that help to keep her inspires and what role the ocean, her local coffee spot and her family play in keeping her on track.
When it comes to looking for inspiration – like so many of us – she turns to social media, most significantly Pinterest.
I decided my word for the year would be harmony – so that is the focus for me at the moment, I tend to be guided by themes and harmony and balance are it at the moment.
We slipped in a bit of a chat about what we have both learnt about ourselves by parenting our kids. And Lousia shares her advice for other creative business owners.
It was a fun, emotional but light hearted chat – so grab a cuppa and have a listen.
